TangiLM — Privacy Policy

Introduction

Welcome to TangiLM (“the App”). We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed, how it is stored, and what choices you have. TangiLM is designed primarily for on-device language model inference; optional features may use the network as described below.

Important Notice

• On-device inference: Model inference and most app data (e.g., chat sessions, local settings) are handled on your device and are not sent to servers we operate for that purpose.
• Optional network features: If you enable web search or use online model search/downloads (e.g., via Hugging Face), the App will use internet connectivity as described in Section 1. Those requests go to third-party services, not to a TangiTech analytics backend described here.

1. Information Collection and Processing

1.1 Personal Information We Do Not Collect (by design)

The App does not require you to create an account and does not collect traditional account data such as name, email, or phone number through the App itself.

We do not integrate third-party advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs for tracking you across apps in the manner described in typical ad/analytics policies.

1.2 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App may store the following locally in your device sandbox (e.g., app documents directory). This data stays on your device unless you use features that inherently send data over the network (see 1.3):

• Settings and preferences (e.g., appearance, language, inference parameters, model selection).
• Chat history/sessions (messages you send and model outputs).
• Downloaded model files (GGUF or similar) that you choose to download and keep on your device.

You can remove most local data by deleting the App or clearing relevant content inside the App, where available.

1.3 Network Processing (Optional Features)

When you choose to use network-dependent features, relevant data is sent over the internet to third parties as needed for that feature:

• Web search (optional): Search queries and related context used to perform the search may be sent to a search provider. If the App fetches a page, HTTP requests may be sent to third-party websites you or the model’s workflow selects. We do not operate those services; their practices are governed by their own terms and policies.
• Model browsing/downloads (optional): Requests to discover or download models (e.g., Hugging Face APIs or hosts) may transmit technical request data typical of HTTPS traffic (URLs, headers, IP-related routing information as handled by networks). Downloaded files are stored locally on your device.

We do not claim that these third-party services are “zero data” services. Use optional network features only if you accept that network operators and third-party endpoints may process requests according to their own policies.

1.4 Permissions

The App requests only the permissions needed for stated functionality. If a future update adds permissions (e.g., photo library for saving images), the App Store listing and system prompts will describe them. The App does not use the camera, microphone, contacts, or precise location for its functionality.

2. Data Security

• Local storage: Local files are protected by iOS sandboxing and standard iOS data protection mechanisms.
• Transport security: Network requests use HTTPS where supported by the remote service; security also depends on third-party endpoints and your network environment.

3. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children in a manner that collects personal information for targeted marketing. Because the App does not require account registration, typical “child account” scenarios do not apply in the same way as account-based services. Parents/guardians should supervise minors’ use of AI tools and internet features.

4. Third-Party Services

Optional features rely on third-party services (e.g., search providers, model hosting sites). This Privacy Policy does not govern those services. Review their policies if you use those features.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be indicated by revising the Effective Date / Last Updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
